Shipping Policy

Every painting leaves my studio carefully wrapped and protected — packaged by hand with the same attention that went into making it. All orders ship fully tracked and insured, and you'll receive confirmation with tracking details the moment your piece is on its way.

Complimentary shipping is included for all U.S. orders.

For collectors outside the United States, international shipping is available. Please reach out via the contact page for a custom quote before placing your order.

Commission Policy

A commissioned portrait is a collaboration built on trust — yours in me, and mine in the process. To protect both of us, please read the following before submitting an inquiry.

Deposit & Payment A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your commission slot. This deposit secures your place in my studio schedule and covers the creative work itself. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, before your painting ships. Payment details are confirmed during the booking process.

Cancellations A commission may be canceled within 24 hours of your deposit, provided work has not yet begun. Once painting has started, all payments are non-refundable. By placing a deposit, you are reserving dedicated studio time and materials for your piece — that commitment goes both ways.

Creative Interpretation I work from your reference photos and our initial consultation to create an original oil painting — not a reproduction. Compositional feedback is welcome before I begin, and I'll align with you on the vision before the first brushstroke. Once painting is underway, the creative interpretation is mine. This is what makes it fine art.

Completed commissioned works are not eligible for return or refund.

Original Works — Purchase Policy

Original paintings available in the shop are eligible for return within 7 days of delivery for U.S. orders. The work must be returned in its original condition and packaging. Return shipping is the responsibility of the collector. Works that arrive damaged or show signs of wear or alteration are not eligible for refund.

All international sales on original works are final.

Terms of Service

All artwork remains the intellectual property of Hailey Toohey. Commissioned and purchased works are created for your personal enjoyment — reproduction or commercial use of any kind requires prior written consent from the artist.

The artist reserves the right to photograph and share completed works for portfolio, studio, and promotional purposes, including on social media and in press materials. If you have specific privacy concerns, please mention them during the commission process and I will do my best to accommodate.
